It's been a hot second since I posted a monster design, so time to mitigate that.
Today, I give you something that can fly: The Red-Crown Wyvern.
Native to the arid areas of the continent, this flying predator relies on its speed and aerial maneuverability to hunt and evade larger predators. It's one of the larger members of the wyvern family as well as one of the more dangerous ones.
It has 4 main ways of attack:
1) Tooth and claw close combat;
2) A venomous bite;
3) Deadly spikes that it can fire from its tail;
4) And, of course: A Flame-Breath.
Wherever there are ecosystems not dominated by Red-Flame Dragons or Ziz-Gryphons, it stands on the very top of the food chain.
