Photo taken in 2019 of the house that once belonged to Bob Clampett, deep in the heart of Hollywood.
Back in the mid-eighties, I was renting the garage behind the house (partially visible on the right) from Sody Clampett. As I recently stood in front of the house with my little digital camera, I had an odd feeling, and an obvious thing dawned on me... "I used to live here..."

So the whole house was his or did he live in one of the floors cause there are two different addresses . Also that's an interesting design for a single family house, an upstairs separate from the downstairs with it's own landing and access.
Regardless it's a nice photo of a house that once belonged to a legend in animation and cartoons. :)

I remember the first time I visited you at the Clampett place. I was curious about the swimming pool out back. I'd remembered a spread about it in TV GUIDE from when I was a kid. What surprised me was that the pool was uniform 3 feet deep. I asked Eddie Brandt about it. Brandt had worked as a writer on the Beany and Cecil cartoons. Eddie laughed and told me the reason the pool was shallow was that Bob didn't want his kids to drown. Then he told me when Bob announced he was having the pool put in he invited folks over to a barbecue to celebrate. Eddie told me that when you walked through the side gate, Bob would greet you, shake your hand, and then hand you a shovel and ask if you would dig up a few spadefuls of dirt to help get the pool started. He swore it was true, and I could believe him. He was full of stories about working for Bob, most of them amazing.
