This is the largest original piece I have ever done that was not a school assignment... measuring 20"x40" on illustration board, this piece was done in acrylic paints, Tria markers, and Prismacolor pencils, with minimal Micron outlining for the lettering on her jacket only...
Approximate time taken - 30-35 hours... over one week of really hard work ^.^..
I used some photo reference for the bridge, and I bought a book on racing bikes to design her bike and uniform.. and the tail fastened to her leg for safety is an homage to one of my friend Roy Pounds' ideas =).
Ace the jackal is 2006 Kacey Miyagami
Look for the original in the art show at Further Confusion 2006!

Yikes, it looks like she's made some sharp turns in that gear.
Every time I think you've reached the apex of your detailing potential I'm proven wrong again. I really admire how you're able to analyze your work with such a critical eye and significantly improve over time as a result.
In fact this piece is so impressive, you managed to get 36 favourites without a single person looking at it.

Thanks very much =)... I actually find it very important to find the faults in my work in order to improve.. and also to try to draw things that I am not confident with (like tech) and with unfamiliar sizes and media helps to push me to improve...
Too many artists stay within a comfort zone....
And yeah - the '0 views' thing is rather odd... LOL I'm more concerned with how many people like it than how many have seen it, though... so I guess that bug doesn't bother me too much ^.^.

Wow.
The detaling is superb, the city is evocative. But the sky looks kinda flat to me, I think there ought to at least be some hints of clouds or a few stars or even a color gradient between black at the top and city glow at the bottom. Maybe the scan washed out some of that detail.
