David looks into his run-down apartment and wonders to himself just what his life has become. He's a freelance detective taking whatever job people come up to him for and they always end up being something that almost gets him killed for almost no money. He wonders to himself why he took such a dangerous occupation and not become something else like his mother wanted. Then again he was never really in good terms with his mother so maybe he wouldn't have done that. He lets out a sigh as he cleans up empty containers from finished takeout before turning on the television. Maybe if he tried harder he could have become a chef, which would cut down on food costs, or so his friends say.

David dumped the garbage out and thought to himself... Friends... Those were the words he used but thinking on that now, he really didn't have any. His "friends" were people he used to work with at the police station, but they never stopped by or even talked to him at all since he left. They were just associates from work, nothing more, nothing less. David sat on the chair in front of the TV and realized he was pretty much having an existential crisis, thinking he's pretty much wasted his life away helping people. He hated that thought, helping others should feel people with a sense of happiness or fulfillment, but for David, he just felt... nothing... No matter what he did he just felt empty inside, like a bottomless void of indifference. Maybe that's why no one really wanted to be around him, he was pretty much a joy killer, but that thought was put on the back burner as he saw a message from Cirosa "See you tomorrow".


Because David is related to Daevi he inherited Daevi's sociopathic and psychopathic nature, but without any of the urges to kill. Because of this he constantly feels empty inside and does his job as a means to distract himself from that.
