=D , I now forever hate dots.
This is The Lord of Darkness played by Tim Curry from the 80's fantasy movie "Legend"[ http://youtube.com/watch?v=az40e63ZClU ]. Otherwise known as the devil guy with the rediculously gigantic horns. I felt he'd make a great pointilism subject, lots of dark and light. Besides, he is badassery in the flesh.
• Done in a Steadtler ink pen in 0.05 size, with a series of tiny dots and lines(yeah I cheated alittle bit =P). On a 4x6 cue card for my sanity's sake. kthx.
• I was going to color this, but felt it would take away from the pointilism effect.
• I've never've done an entire image in pointilism before 9.9 , I now know why. Time consuming. I set down the first series of dots. Then went back to begin shading. Putting each little dot inbetween another dot. Then I went back again and did the same thing over and over again until I got the darkness I wanted. I'm generally a patient person when it comes to art. But I had to take a lot of breaks here.

One of my favorite villians from any movie, and one of my favorite movies for that matter! =D Tim Curry did a magnificent job as Darkness, granted I've always liked him as an actor. And to top it off, Tangerine Dream did the entire soundtrack, how could that movie have gotten cooler?
Talk about picking a difficult yet interesting subject for a pointalisum project, that guy had a million interesting lines and angles in his face. Either way, you did an astounding job portraying him in all his dark glory.
