This is Kate pre Lucy. I've been contemplating their story and how they met and fit together and this is how Kate gets to her 'starting position' so to speak. Before she meets Lucy, Kate was living life the only way she really knew how, by running cons like her mother taught her, but unlike Nicolette, Kate doesn't have the ability to shut off her emotions.
I'm glad you liked it. :) I was pretty proud of this one. This along with the other two are kind of filling in the blanks for the ideas I've been gathering for how these characters got to where they are and to set up future events.
