You can bet your ass if I was going for a walk in the country and found a horseshoe I'd pick it up...
Just combining a few things I wanted to do--something cheerful and silly, a humanoid (sorta modeled after myself this time, hence the strong resemblance to Dominic "Skunk Boy" Mephitto), practicing facial hair and humanoid noses, a kemonomimi and/or implied transformation (intentionally left ambiguous), and a cartoon guy with a big butt.
I've yet to decide whether "jackass-sona" Dominic Duncan's canon origin is actually as a human jackass that got transformed into a literal one somehow (there's some interesting potential for a story arc there, and perhaps eventually after living as a donkey for a while and working and making a life for himself and starting a donkey family he is presented with the opportunity to be returned to human form and his previous life, which he declines), or he's some sort of were-donkey, or if this is like an alternate universe thing for those times when I am sorta into transformation but isn't actually canon.
No matter what I go with, though, this probably does suit the real-life me fairly well, as most who know me can probably attest to, and if I ever wanted to cosplay a kemonomimi it would probably be easier to source donkey accessories than skunk ones anyways.

I do need to elaborate on the role of hybrid human/anthro people and were-beasts in-universe a bit more. So far I sort of imply that they're seen as a bit odd by both the human and anthro populations, and as a result of that idea, that human/anthro romantic pairings might be considered taboo to some degree. With Skunk Boy and Tex both being able to transform into a were-skunk and were-coyote respectively, and Dominic Wolff (who appears fully human in his human form) being able to transform into a Lucifer Beast/Hellhoud creature, it would seem as though transformation is a rather common attribute.
Which, then, begs the question of, why don't these characters just remain in a form that can pass as a fairly normal anthropomorph as much as possible? And what of the lesser-used hybrid characters of mine like Dawson, Tina, Riley, Suzette and Filbert, would they have animal forms as well?
A lot of stuff to think about based on a cute but ambiguously canon character drawing of a donkeyboy that's basically a lazy reskin of Skunk Boy on a level that makes My Little Pony background characters look creative... That said, I would 10/10 wear a donkey tail and ears IRL myself if I could. I get the feeling a donkey tail would be way less annoying than a skunk tail.

*The donkey-man hastily stands up and pulls his pants up...*
I thought that was the folklore behind the horseshoe, holding it like that will let the good luck spill out. That may explain a few things... Like why it seems those pants lack a tail-hole in a world where clothing intended to accommodate a tail is commonplace, and appear to be intended for a tail-less human.
