I totally wish we had Stellars Jays here in Reno. I love these birds whenever I visit Tahoe.

Occasionally we do get them, but its few and far between. At least, the part of Reno that I live in, lol.

I live a block away from the VA Hospital. I'm lucky to ever see any Turtle Doves (the Mourning Doves always chase them off).
If I could find a way to attract some of these pretty birds (and bring back others) to my yard, I'd do it, in hopes it won't attract even more Starlings and Scrub Jays.

Oh wow, you only live a couple blocks away from me, lol. (I live near Vaughn Middle School). Turtle Doves are even more rare, so it's kinda cool you've gotten to see them at all. Only time I ever see a Steller's is when I'm walking around the neighborhood and I'm lucky enough to catch a glimpse of one, and once one came to my feeder in my backyard, but alas he never returned after that one time.
