Gerulf was a beast- a King beloved by his dragon family, but hated by his "lesser" subjects. It wasn't uncommon for the peasantry to mock him behind closed doors (often for his immense weight) , though the punishment for such slander was death for both the slanderer and their loved ones. A Necrotic dragon, he was constantly at odds with his neighbors, none more so than the honorable Garsea, King of the Fire Dragons in Southern France. When Garsea was beheaded by the Giants, he laughed. Years later he regretted that decision, when he found himself gutted, and his poison blood rendered the land barren for hundreds of years.
