Amidst growing unrest and a war that the peoples of Aldrea are losing confidence in, Countess Jovni Marvens confronts King Ifi of Vis, emperor of the Aldrean Empire on the steps of the Imperial Palace. With many Talva in provinces previously conquered by Aldrea now part of the Empire's nobility, Jovni calls for the Emperor to grant further freedoms - the Empire must be split into north and south, so that a Talva may rule over the Talva, just as it is an Aldrean who rules over the Aldreans. Jovni's journey to the imperial capital of Highbrook was interspersed by many speeches and marches in the worlds of both Talva and Aldrean, and the Countess has already found overwhelming support for her cause.
Months of campaigning have come to this moment. As the sun sets over Highbrook, Jovni gives Ifi her requests. But the Aldrean king, too familiar with the power of his position allowing him to live and do as he pleased, is none too comfortable with what is being asked of him.
Another piece requested from a contact who previously enlisted my services for a species design spread (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/36328440/). I was all too happy to take those designs I had previously done for them and put them all in action! It was certainly interesting to incorporate high medieval styles to a very spacey world.
Plus, it was very fun to design a king who is clearly trying to make himself much larger than he is. With big puffy robes and a crown that I don't think could be plausibly supported by anyone's head without help.
