I like this design of your OC very much.
As for your mentioned question: I would set up a cop´s cap, produce a toy gun and handcuffs and a piece of cloth and arrest this furry hindrance, tie him to a chair, gag him and then leave the house for to buy some ingredients for a good meal, come back, cook something good and feed him. When all that is done, I would release him.
I hope he won´t have any hard feelings about such an "unorthodox" method^^
