I forgot that I even had any pictures of me as the doctor last year at the haunt. But I found this one randomly while going through some old folders. So i fugred I would shar it with you all.
This is me playing the mad doctor role last year. It was one of my favorite chracters to play while I was making thousands of people scream. Everyone seemed to be in agreement that I was the best doctor they had. Which does not surpriswe me since I come from a medical family and intelectual evil is so me.
The pic is blurry I know but that's what you get from a camera phone. And I was not completely ready when it was taken but it's btter than nothing...Sorry.

When you are working in a haunt being in the right mindset and being amped up is very important. Every night at the start of the night they play Counting Bodies Like Sheep from a Perfect Circle over the speakers. Much like Pavlov's dog the moment they hear the sound the actors all start salivating. All the actors start pounding the walls in time to the music and howling and screaming and working themselves into a frenzy. It's an impressive site to behold.
I don't know about "serious" so much as we enjoy what we do a lot and the guys who run the place know what they are doing.
Yes scaring children is dandy....It's scaring adults that makes me laugh the hardest. Though there is something extremely pleasing about making teenage girls curl up into the fetal position and cry.

Dude... I would totally come down and apply for a job... until I looked at the map and found that yal are 2 hours away x.x
Live up here near Dallas and even with a bigass highway between here and Tyler it would still take forever. On the other hand... depending on how much it pays, how fun it is, and the choice of places to stay at, it might be totally worth it!

I dunno man it's a pretty damn bad ass experience. I'm not gonna lie, you will never forget it. You will have a ton of fun, however it IS a job and there is work in it. You will pour so much energy into the customers, you will let out so much stress and frustration by scaring the piss out of people, literally. The trip really isn't that bad if you crash somewhere in town on the weekends. It's only two hours honestly. And that may be worked out.
As for the pay? You'd be working Thur-Sunday for the entire month of October by having a great time and getting an amazing workout, and for this you will make about $600. It's basically minimum wage. So that kinda sucks.
