What's with Daryl's bonerface in the last panel? I know he's mentally exhausted, but I couldn't help thinking of it. XD

It's not as much of a bonerface as it's a mix of realizing harsh words/lashing out/acting scary won't do SHIT in this situation, and realizing he MIGHT have just crossed a line with Negan... what with the way Negan smirks at him happily, it's not uncommon when Negan gets happy like that and smirks, people get hurt or die... The last panel just caught him in that split second where he flinches and squints, realizing that.

So I'd say Daryl's, yes, mentally exhausted at that point, realizes the ONLY form of defense he's familiar with (which is lashing out and expecting/hoping the attacker will get more or less startled and leave) just totally ISN'T working AND the fact a part of Daryl's realized he might or might have not screwed things up for Rick by disrespecting Negan like that... as we're all quite aware if person 1 ends up doing something Negan doesn't like, person 2 can pay dearly for that, not just person 1.
So it's pretty much a "I don't know what to do at that point, I'm very uncomfortable, why isn't it working, I think I'm starting to regret things..." thing.
Kinda ruins the funny mood this page set if you think about it... Poor Daryl.

And if you think about it that way, Negan's way of handling things could be a lesson to us all who have yet to learn how to deal with some fool yelling at us XD
