The first time I've drawn Sir Spot since I switched to ProCreate! This is another panel from Animal Fair #1 and the story that told how freckles became Sir Spot. It's also got me doing a bit of color, because for some reason Sir Spot just looks that much better with sampled color. So cool to stumble upon someone else who digs the old funny animal stuff too. I've got that issue but I use the same website to read it too because it's not in great condition. Saw your other Pogo and Fawcett funny animal stuff and appreciate the love it's getting. I sketched up a few of Hoppy myself early this year but I never got the hang of my tablet got drawing, not that I really have it a try, but maybe I can work this year on a sketch a day like you were doing.
I'm glad you appreciate it! I've found copying old funny-animal art to be a quite good learning experience for me. It's a style I feel warmly nostalgic about and it's pushed me to learn poses and species that I wouldn't have thought about. So it hits this good learning spot of always being just a little outside my comfort zone.
