In my continued discoveries of new Zorgoia, I met another one this week who was a recently arrival to Vakert Sedd, one who goes by the name of Asa. Our first meeting was one that was quite cordial, though the poor thing seemed so terribly confused about where he was and how he ended up on my planet. Though I sensed he had amazingly potent magic for a non-Spireborn, I went about discussing with him where he came from, what he was like, who he was, while trying to not call attention to the obvious scarring on his eyes or stomach, and the bandages he kept wrapped around them, or his very clear lack of eyesight.
What I learned from my conversations with him was that Asa was a master Abjurationist, the school of magic that champions shielding, purifying, binding and sealing magics. Asa was a wandering sellsword of a noble bent who traveled his home driving out and killing or sealing away evils and healing the sick or wounded. To that end - even though it's not within his school, he's also an efficient healer for closing up wounds.
After talking a bit I realized why he was called to Sedd despite not being a deity. Oftentimes if a world's nature turns against magi such that a complete massacre of magic users is inevitable, Sedd will call any magi that want to continue living to it just as they would call a Successor god to it when they accept the offer. Asa's homeworld (Which I had never heard the name of - it wasn't Veldram, or Zodior, or any of the planets my friends had been to or lived on) recently entered an era of persecution against magic users, which had killed many and was seeing magic made a lost art. Asa was one of few survivors he knew of who had escaped that world, but given a second chance to live, he wasn't going to turn his nose up at a second chance when I explained where he was, and decided to continue his goal of healing others and sealing evils.
While I suspect he likely suffered some kind of intentional injury - scars like that aren't the kind that are made in the heat of battle - I decided best to not pry with a new associate and extended the usual offer I do when I'm the first one to find transplants to this world, he'd be welcome in my cave until he felt comfortable enough to wander the world, and also because the process can be stressful and disorienting.
Once home, we discussed a bit more about his nature as a healer when he let slip that he's actually a follower of a particular doctrine of Zorgoia beliefs - the idea that the fact reforming prey from digestion cleanses them of non-genetic illnesses and disease is nothing short of a gods-given miracle. He was rather direct that unlike other Zorgoia who eat for pleasure, he eats to cleanse his patients of impurities, and to that end he's also learned how to cast a "reverse" spell on his stomach's processes. Given how terrifyingly efficient a Zorgoia's inherent digestion is, turning all of that into healing liquid is probably powerful enough to heal someone on the border of death back to full health. He can also use his stomach like that to purge dark or corruptive magics like hypnotic suggestions or the beginnings of magical afflictions like lycanthropy or vampirism before they transform the infected.
After staying with me for some time, he asked if he could see me before he left to know my face. Confused at first, it became clear what he meant when a magic kicked in and a phantasmal set of eyes appeared in front of his blindfold. According to him he's lived blind for so long adjusting to sight is something he does when he only needs to. Not only is he unused to it to the point of minor disorientation and prefers to "see" with his acute hearing, but that particular spell drains an immense amount of energy. He seemed temporarily surprised by my appearance, but passed it off quickly and thanked me for the company, before I helped him out of my cave and saw him on his way to civilization.
The entire time we were talking, he was never nothing but polite, and never really brought up the idea of eating me personally even though I could tell he was hungry by the end from using his spectral sight. He seemed direct, maybe a bit blunt, but he was honest and good company in his honesty. I hope his journeys in Sedd treat him well, I know I wouldn't mind meeting him again one day, maybe see what his "healing" is like."

New Goia time? New Goia time.
Recently on the Corrie's/Zorgoias Patreon, Corrie did a set of adopts for Schools of Magic themed Zorgoia, Asa here was one that I locked eyes on because I just dug his design! He reminds me a bit of a blind ronin-type character, so I decided to make him a passive healer and defender who wanders any given setting taking care of people.
As far as what to expect from him, softer, willing-only vore, with a hard lean towards endosoma and some nonfatal digestion/reformation. He'll never ever dip into fatal (though look at a list of abjuration spells sometime, death is the nicest thing his most dangerous spells can do) and will mostly take care of people. There can also be some shy pred towards people who don't need healing, but want to feed him anyway with a gurgly outcome.
Sexuality wise, Asa is demisexual, unlike most of the rest of my horndog cast, Asa WILL have sex with people, but it won't be a hookup or an instant connection, there has to be a very long-standing friendship with someone before he'll let himself be nudged that way.
I look forward to getting more of this boy!
Asa belongs to me!
