Woof! I started doodling dragons this morning and got a nice cute pose of Penny. She's an obscure red-headed Disney character from the 80s.

Thanks. She's not completely forgotten. I've got a couple of those old Minnie & Me books with her in them.
I do take some liberties with her appearance. For some reason they tend to draw her bare limbs black like Minnie's but I like to think she's furless under her clothes. Not that there's anything perverted about that.

That sounds like a good idea to me. I did a naughty sketch of her last night and I think she'll look good with the dark limbs and furless chest and belly. Of course a dogface is a furry, at least as far as the AUP is concerned, right?

Yup. They do still show up at yard sales and book sales. I have at least two copies of the Minnie's Slumber Party Golden Book which has a cute story but pretty sucky art. There are also the "Minnie 'N' Me" custom-printed books with a child's name inserted into the text and the Disney Books By Mail editions. In addition to Minnie and Daisy they used Clarabelle and another character, a sheep named Lilly, but she isn't as appealing to draw as Penny.
