It was another bustling night inside the Brickhouse Bar, with customers all around having a good meal, drinking beer, or drinking heavy liquor to pass the time.
Sitting at the front of the bar, Olivia and Yoko were talking with one another as the both of them were served a mug of beer. The both of them continued to talk to each other while consuming their beer, but after having a talk with one another, Olivia and Yoko were informed that the Karaoke session was about to begin. This was the signal for the both of them to prepare, after informing Yoko that she had signed both of them up to sing up on stage, and would be the first ones to perform. However, as the two made their way to the stage, even with the alcohol dulling her nerves, Yoko began to get cold feet going up to the stage. It was then that Olivia turned around behind her, only to see Yoko, standing still and afraid.
Olivia: Hey Yoko. What's wrong?
Yoko: I.......I don't know if I can do this.
Olivia: Yoko. Don't worry. It's going to be okay. You're not alone here. You're going to be up on stage with me.
Yoko: But......I don't know. What I'd I mess up or something?
Olivia: Don't fret so much about it. Besides, you said you wanted to get the job at Club Bunny. Right?
Yoko: Yeah?
Olivia: Well, when it comes to working there, you have to be in front of a large crowd performing, singing, and dancing. Don't you?
Yoko: I.....I do.
Olivia: Well, think of this as a way to come out of that shell of yours. To not be afraid to be in front of a crowd. Tonight, think of this as a practice run for your audition.
As Olivia explained this to Yoko, she gave her a grin and a wink.
Olivia: Now come on. Our audience awaits us both!
Yoko: W-wait, Olivia! What are you even doing?!
Olivia: Don't worry about it, just follow my lead.
When Olivia and Yoko made it to the stage, the lights darkened as they both picked up a mic, preparing themselves as they heard their names and the song that they would be singing. Tonight, I Stand by Mai. As soon as the song started to reveal the lyrics, Olivia started things off as she began to sing the first verse.
Why is the sky always blue
Why is the rain always sad
We never know, We never know
Why do you stay with me now
Why do you leave me someday
We never know what our love is and Life goes on
This was then the tone of the song shifted, from being a slow moving song to a quick pace tempo. But with Olivia starting things off, Yoko couldn’t help but feel the confidence building inside of her. With a quick wink to Yoko, that meant for her that she was giving Yoko the lead to sing.
Night, I once was here
Drowning in the sands
Doomed to be suppressed by tears
The night shed the tears
Haunting grief, let it be
Ironic fate, despaired
Ceased to feign
I'm here breathing
Tonight, I stand
As the verse ended, both Yoko and Olivia began to sing together in tandem, making the chorus of the song sound like a duet.
Why pretend it doesn't hurt you here
Whistle in the dark all alone
See, must you see
What lies behind the cloud with your heart
When the verse ended, Olivia took the lead, switching leading roles back to her.
Night I once was here
Drowning in the sands
Ceased to feign, to be true to myself
Tonight, I stand
As the verse ended, Olivia and Yoko began to sing the chorus and the final verse together.
Why pretend it doesn't hurt you here
Whistle in the dark all alone
See, must you see
What lies behind the cloud with your heart
Night I once was here
Drowning in the sands
Ceased to feign, to be true to myself
Tonight, I stand
Ceased to feign, I'm breathing again
Tonight, I stand
When the song ended, the crowd loudly cheered for the two singers. Seeing all of this happen in front of them, Olivia turned to Yoko, who gave a smug look to her after their song ended as if she was telling her "Told you you'd like it". Seeing this, Yoko could only smile and laugh a little. In the end, what Olivia told her was true. This was a great way for her to come out of her shell, and prepare her for the day she would audition for Club Bunny.
This Karaoke pic was obtained by my great friend
jurgenblue , who got this marvellous karaoke picture with their character Olivia along with my OC, Yoko. Seeing her here with her best friend is really wonderful to see, especially when its showing Yoko coming out of her shell and preparing her for the job she wants :) . Seeing both of them performing togther looks amazing, and Yoko came out really great :) . Seeing her in her Gothic Lolita Bunny outfit really shows off who she is, and her glasses is a great touch for her :) .
