He just showed up one day to listen to the band practice and no one really wanted to tell him to leave on account of being a huge, scarred up, punk lion.
I like the idea that he just sort of hung out looking really intense and listened to the practice.
Then one day their OG drummer flaked before a show and they were like 'Hey Sam... Can you hit things?'
and he was all serious and said,
'...Yes. Yes I can.'
and got REALLY into it
