My dear cool person, FURRIES are more underground today than underground art was in the 60's and 70's...( actually, I have to observe that there is a LOT of technically FURRY professional productions out there, it's just our genre is not yet ripe enough for all the "Closet-Furries" in the mainstream to come out willingly. All we need is ONE, BIG, Star Wars level blockbuster idea that will jumpstart into the masses, and every damn Joe and Jane and his brother will say "...oh YEAH, I've been a furry since the LONGEST time..."

And I will tell you this... No popular self-boffing character is going to achieve THAT notoriety!

I'm not sure if I'd want that anyway. I am notorious enough in the german fandom as it is. XD also, newbies which hop from fandom to fandom without leaving a trace... who would want 'em.

btw, a large novel publisher here in germany recently published a furry novel, written by the cousin of one of my gamer grrls. so, all is not lost. ^^
