Another commission from AC (this one actually finished at the con and scanned by the commissioner), this time for
brenderlin
I know you are like "Boda, why all these poofy TF/TGs?" and the answer is that for convention commissions I made the stipulation that I wasn't doing comics, because they just take too damn long. So instead, for bren's and taki's I just did this inset panel style thing, which was an okay compromise imo.
The character was a little tricky because I am not usually asked to draw really buff/ super busty ladies, so I tried to like stylize the anatomy a little and de-emphasize her bottom half to make her seem bigger on top without getting really extreme. IDK, just trying it out I guess.
I am sorry for the deluge of tradiional media lately, I know it's not my strong suit, but c'est la vie.

I don't mind all the traditional stuff. It can has a charm of it's own.
Seriously, this is from someone who's kicking himself for not practicing his traditional stuff more often :P
It can be a lots of good practices that can actually help even with digital work afterward.
My concept art teacher back in 3d animation basically was "learn all the theory and neat stuff on traditional. Then apply it to digital ontop of all else you can learn to do with digital mediums".
Plus, properly done traditional often has a "feel" that is -very- hard to properly emultate with digital mediums. Especially with stuff like thick acrylics paints that will literally get a "texture" of their own simply due to the thickness of the paint.

Ditto this. I'm enjoying it just as much; it's different, but in no way bad!
Also, I adore the expression here. Not "ZOMG!" or "ARRGH!" but "whuh?" It's gonna take a couple seconds to register, innit? Beautiful work on form and expressions here, caricatured just enough to bring it all out.

Wow, traditional media from you! I think it looks great and I'm looking forward to seeing more from you. :)
If I might ask, what makes you focus on digital over traditional? Do you just feel like digital is what you're good at? I kind of like seeing both from you, each have their own charms.

I prefer digital for two reasons. One is that it is easier to use in conjunction with fandom stuff / the internet. Scanning traditional media is like super frustrating for me because it never looks as good as it does irl. The other reason is cost. Digital doesn't necessitate the same expense on supplies that traditional does, and whatever expense there is I've already invested.
The only time I end up doing a lot of traditional is for conventions.

I really like how you do these types of mini-sequences with the just before transformation expression in the small box next to the bigger, fuller view of the subject right after suddenly being tfed and their expression. Do you plan on making more of these? I would commission one but sadly I am broke.
