The poem is a section from the Buddhist holy text the Dhammapada. I just drew until I liked what I saw and this came out and it reminded me of the particular section from the Dhammapada. I would suggest if anyone is interested in reading the book they do it! It is worth the read!
This particular passage reads:
"Why the laughter, why the joy,
When flames are every burning?
Surrounded by darknes,
Shouldn't you search for light?"
"Look at this beautiful body:
A mass of sores propped up,
Full of illnes, The object of many plans,
With nothing stable or lasting."
"This body is worn out-
So fragile, a nesting ground for disease,
When life ends in death.
This putrid body dissolves."
It is a depressing chapter but the book is still very much full of wisdom and WORTH the read!
