He is very likely to be a fox as naturally, their ears are darker than the rest of their body. The good thing for this partial fursuiter is that with how he dresses, it is rave material. I would think that on his face, he does have some American Indian references if he has such lines on his cheeks under his eyes. For natives, they would go with the Sun, but they have their times when they can go latenite, especially when they have to hunt.
I don't know, if he's in biology-if so, he'd be giving homage to the father of genetics, Gregor Mendel.
