WARNING: This story contains fatal popping.
I decided to write something based on the strange and wacky puzzles found in the Resident Evil games, you'll know what I'm talking about. ^_^

Awakening in a dark murky cell, the anthropomorphic squirrel finds herself captured. Standing up with a wicked headache, Nancy recalls meeting a strange muscular minotaur on some dirt road, and then... Nothing. Figuring that she was probably knocked out, the girl decides to put her novice thief skills into action. Pulling an iron pin from her big bushy tail, she kneels down at the lock and picks it carefully. Adjusting the tumblers just right, the lock clicks open and, at least from the prison cell, she's now free to go. “It's a start.” Whispers Nancy, tucking the pin away. Finding a passage in the torch-lit room, the squirrel girl decides to head onward.
Moving cautiously down the grim stone stairwell, hay straws crack beneath her feet as she happens upon a small torture chamber. With various racks and tables covered in old bones, the dim red lighting of the brick room makes it very unsettling to the squirrel girl. Just when she thought she was alone, Nancy finds someone else. Although it's not anthropomorphic like herself, she's hopeful that it can help her in some way. Laying flat on his back across a stone table, a chained-down white stallion moans with some kind of iron tube strapped to his mouth.
At first, she thought he was pregnant, but upon closer examination, Nancy finds that he's just remarkably full of water. Pressing an ear against his massive bloat, the slosh in his belly sounds like the ocean. Whimpering into the tube, the horse attracts the attention of something. Perking her ears up, the squirrel girl hears loud tromps echo down the stairwell. Frantically looking around the chamber, she dives into a pile of hay and peeks out. Watching nervously, a minotaur, the same one that she saw before blacking-out steps over to the stallion. “What's with all the noise, Tub? Haven't had enough to drink? Guess you're still thirsty, heh...” He chuckles.
Tugging a rope attached to some mechanism in the ceiling, water begins pouring down the stallions throat. With a giant beach ball size belly, Tub's eyes widen as he's force-fed even more drink. Watching this horror from the comfort of the pile, Nancy spots something useful – a key, dangling from the minotaurs tail. “What a naughty water balloon you are, too bad I can't burst ye. Not yet...” Speaking grimly, the beast releases the rope – stopping the flow. Panting heavily with a far bigger girth, Tub's ultra-tight stomach appears fit to pop. Just as the minotaur is about to leave, Nancy notices something else. A red button, located just above the horses giant girth. Thinking quickly, the squirrel needs to make a decision...
OPTION A – Get that key, maybe it unlocks the gate down here.
OPTION B – Click that button, maybe it unlocks the gate down here.
OPTION A – Get that key.
Crouched into a deep squat, Nancy carefully avoids the straw on the floor as she follows the minotaur. Wagging his tail while he whistles casually, the beast doesn't make it very easy, but the squirrel girl manages to snag the key without him noticing. Glad to have her thief training pay off, Nancy heads right over to the door. Unfortunately, there is no keyhole on this door, so she heads over to the one thing that has locks on it... The horse. Unlocking all the shackles binding Tub down, he feels a little bit better, yet the water bloat he's cursed with keeps him immobilized. Trying her best to reach up to the button, Nancy gets frustrated by the fat horse in her way.
Suddenly, a huge paw swoops in from the dark and grabs her by the neck – raising her off the ground. “Gah! … L-Lemme go!” Swinging her feet around, she quickly discovers that it's the minotaur again. “Out of your cell little lady? Not a problem, I've got a nice new one for ye. It's even got a pool!” Saying so, the brute uses his free paw to widen Tub's mouth. Without hesitation, he stuffs Nancy down the stallions throat – swelling him up even bigger. Sticking her face out from his mouth for air, the rest of her body remains submerged – fumbling around in his belly wickedly. “Enjoy your new home girly, I'll take care of ye later...” He snorts, heading back upstairs. Unable to escape her new horse home, Nancy has failed in her escape... THE END
OPTION B – Click that button.
Heading over to the rope, Nancy pets the horse lovingly, feeling bad about what she's about to do. “I'm sorry dear, but you're too fat to move, and I need to know what that switch does.” Saying so, Tub begs her not to do it. Knowing it's either him or both of them, she pulls it down – forcing feeding him even more water. “Ulp, ulp, ulp, ulp, ulp...” Gulping rigorously, the stallions girth slowly reaches the size of a wrecking ball. Morbidly, his belly button pokes out – sounding like a quirk being shot from a bottle. In doing so, his outie navel pushes the button and raises the gate. “That did it!” Yells the squirrel. Unfortunately, in her excitement, she accidentally snaps the rope, which keeps the drink blasting into Tub.
“MMMPH!” With water spurting from all orifices, he's clearly too big and about to explode. Diving through the doorway, the horses belly erupts dramatically – relieving the pressure against the switch. Since it's no longer being held in place, the door shuts behind Nancy. “Sorry buddy, but I had to get out somehow.” She sighs, feeling bad for the poor steed. Finding herself in a courtyard, the squirrel girl avoids the knights wandering about, steals a crossbow with a single bolt, and climbs out over the wall, across the moat, and into the forest. Deciding that she'll be far more careful from now on, Nancy prepares herself to face the world, and its adventures, once again. THE END
