It's finally here. My first Arashi No Yoru Ni fanfic.

Gabu and Mei's anime TV series versions belong to Sparky Animation.

That morning, at the cave where Mei the goat and Gabu the wolf now lived, both woke up yawning.
“Good morning, Gabu.” Mei said to her best friend.
“Good morning, Mei.” Gabu answered.
“Gee, I’m so glad to wake up and seeing you already in front of me, instead of going visit you in secret.”
“Me too, Mei. I’m so glad we now can be always together without having to hide our friendship.”
Both hugged. Suddenly, Gabu’s belly started growling.
“Gulp, guess I’m hungry.” he said.
“Then let’s go get you some breakfast!” Mei said. “We can go at the foot of the mountain. There’s a river, and you can catch all fish you want to eat. Besides, clovers grow by the river, so I can have breakfast, too!”
Gabu agreed, but he was a little nervous. Sometimes, when he looked at Mei, his wolf instincts made him see her as a snack. But Gabu knew he couldn’t eat his best friend, so he had to eat other kinds of food to keep him from doing so, like fish.
Gabu and Mei left the cave and walked down the mountain.
“Race you there!” Mei said.
“You’re on!” Gabu said.
Both began to run. Mei sure did run faster than Gabu!
“Wow… She’s quick!” Gabu said, panting.
“See you at the river!” Mei said, looking back at him.
Since she didn’t see where she was running, Mei tripped over a stone, rolled down the hill and landed in a hollow stump. She tried to break free, but her legs broke through the wood, leaving her trapped.
“Mei, are you ok?” Gabu asked her, once he reached her.
“I’m alright, but my legs are stuck in this stump, and I can’t break free!”
“Let’s see what I can do to get you out of there.”
Gabu stood in front of Mei’s legs, trying to find a way to free her from the stump, when suddenly, he sniffed the air. He had caught a sweet scent.
“Something smells tasty!” Gabu said.
When he approached Mei’s legs, he found out the scent came from her feet! He sniffed them again.
“Mmmm, they smell like strawberry cheesecake!”
“Gabu, what are you doing?”
Gabu licked his lips with delight.
“No, Gabu. Please don’t…”
But Gabu couldn’t help it. He opened his mouth… and gave Mei’s feet a big lick.
“Yummy! They taste like raspberry smoothie!”
He licked them repeatedly. Mei burst out laughing.
“HAHAHAHAHA! GAHAHAHABUHUHUHU, WHAHAHAHAT DOHOHOHO YOHOHOHOHOU THIHIHIHINK YOHOHOHOHOU’RE DOHOHOHOHOHING? STOHOHOHOHOP, PLEHEHEHEHEHEASE!”
Upon hearing Mei’s laughter, Gabu loved it. He felt he was making her very happy.
“You know what, Mei? I can do this all day!”
Gabu kept licking Mei’s feet, and she laughed louder than before.
“GAHAHAHAHA! NOHOHOHOHOHOHO! GAHAHAHAHABUHUHUHU, PLEHEHEHEHEHEHEASE NOHOHOHOHOHO!”
They kept on like that for a while until, still laughing, Mei started kicking and leaned back. Then the back of the stump broke, and Mei was free! Well, almost. Although she got out of the stump, her legs were still stuck in a piece of wood.
“Um… Gabu…” Mei said. “I think I need a little more help.”
“You know what this needs? More power!” Gabu said. “Ready for round 2?”
Gabu began to lick them again, but this time, with more energy. Mei laughed even louder and kicked repeatedly until the piece of wood in which her legs were stuck burst into pieces. Mei was finally free!
“Wow! That was awesome!” Mei said. “Thank you, Gabu! I had fun!”
“You know, me too!” Gabu said. “And what’s even better, I got a taste of you!”
“What?”
“I finally got to taste you without getting to eat you! That means if I get hungry for you, I’ll just have to lick your feet again to calm my hunger. That way, I’ll never eat you, and we will keep being best friends for life!”
“Really? Well, in that case, I can’t wait for you to tickle me again. But first, let’s go to the river!”
Gabu and Mei moved on to the river, where Gabu caught some fish to eat, while Mei ate some clovers that grew by the river. After the two best friends finished their meals, they prepared to return home.
“Race you there!” Gabu said.
“You’re on!” Mei said.
Since then, Gabu and Mei’s lives were much better, and they lived happily ever after.
