Mox is a kobold paladin from the island of Chult who had once served as the Egg Warden in charge of guarding and protecting the eggs of their dragon, Nebarus. A sudden attack from the mercenaries of the Crimson Fist compelled Mox away from their post, but upon arriving into the Great Hall where the dragon Nebarus resided, Mox found only the chaos left-behind from battle; their dragon was nowhere to be found.

This was not the only calamity, however; rushing back to check on the eggs, Mox found that all three had been stolen while they had neglected their duties. Filled with shame and concerned for the whereabouts of Nebarus, Mox set-out on their own to find and reclaim the eggs and—if possible—discover what had become of their revered dragon.

Mox is a diminuitive but brave fluffbold that refers to themself in the third person (e.g., "Mox isn't sure if this is a good idea"). While seemingly stalwart in the face of danger, their past failures are what ultimately drive them forward, unable to forgive themself until they can recover the dragon eggs and find Nebarus.
