While my mate enjoys a schnitzel with sauce, turkey and two cheeses all melted together I like mine a little different. This was my evening meal and fits quite nicely into the the ~faccc2 ~faccc2 challenge
The ~FACCC2 Cooking Cluedo Challenge
Make a dish featuring the following Clues
Mr. Boddy: Is your main ingredient. Whether it is meat, fish, chicken, or even a vegetable, that is who gets "murdered" for your dish.
Colonel Mustard: You use anything mustard related. The seed, the powder, yellow, dijon, honey, spicy, etc.
Mrs Peacock: Since she is represented by blue, you are allowed blueberries, blue potatoes, or any related blue ingredient.
Mr. Green: Again any ingredient that is green; wasabi, pesto, spinach, peas/edamame, kale, etc.
Miss Scarlet: A red ingredient: beets, cranberries, currants, etc.
Mrs. White: A white ingredient - white cheddar, milk, white chocolate, white truffle, and so on :)
Dr. Orchid: This is a new character in the game, but I would like this to be your own special ingredient.
You can always save this as a special "reveal" and have us guess as to what this ingredient is :B
This Dish features:
Mr Body
Coronal Mustard
Mr Green
Miss Scarlet
Mrs White
Dr. Orchid
INGREDIENTS
Beef schnitzel – this was pre prepared but essentially it’s coated in seasoned breadcrumbs (seasoning includes: red pepper, salt, black pepper, onion powder and mixed herbs)
Mustard Pickle Dip (served over the schnitzel)
1 cup (250g) of room temperature cream cheese
1 tbsp Sour Cream
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
200g Sweet Mustard Pickle
2 tsp White pepper
Sushi Rice Seasoning – Brand Pandaroo Seaweed & Sesame Furikake
(Sprinkled on top as an edible garnish)
White baby potatoes with parsley/herb butter
Baby potatoes
Parsely/herbs
Butter
METHOD
The Schnitzel: thin beef, coat in flour, then egg then seasoned bread crumbs. Fry in oil on each side until golden. Pat off any excess oil. This takes about 6 min per side depending on the thickness of the schnitzel.
The Dip: In a bowl mix all ingredients well until it is easily spreadable. It can be left slightly chunky but if you want a smoother mix put the mustard pickle into a small blender before adding to mix.
Nb: A little sugar, salt, onion powder or garlic powder can be added if desired to suit your taste but I didn’t use any extra additions.
Spread or dollop this on top of the schnitzel liberally as desired
Sushi Rice Seasoning sprinkle over the top of the dip for a little pretty bite
Baby Potatoes (8)
Clean and prick the potatoes
Put in a microwave safe dish and dot over some parsley/herb butter
Cook for 6 minutes in a microwave (1200watt @ 80% was used) times may vary
Serve with a little extra butter next to that schnitzel and luscious dip
NOTES:
Mixed veg, broccoli, cauliflower, beans, peas or a green salad pair nicely with this dish if desired
The addition of any extra salt and pepper is up to the individual
