Orion has lived among humans his whole life. His mother was a unicorn and his father was human. They were a family up until Orion's mother death. Upon discovering his wife's secret, Orion's father, disgusted by the truth, disowned and banished Orion from his home and village. He was 13 when this happened.

After years of travel and hard work, he found a new home in a distant town. He met a woman who would become his wife. On the night of his proposal, Orion revealed his true form to her. Unlike Orion's father, the woman accepted what he was. They had a year of happiness until Orion's father, sick of all the ridicule and hostility of his fellow humans, killed his wife. After ending his father, Orion, overwhelmed with pain, underwent a magical procedure to prevent him from feeling any emotions. Unfortunately, this prevented him from shifting and experiencing joy.

But upon seeing one of Daphne's performances, emotions began to stir again. Desiring to be near her, Orion became her bodyguard. The more time he spends with her, the more he finds himself falling in love with her. Perhaps she can help restore his unicorn body.
