Not quiet as old as my original Flower of Life pendant, This was a commission piece I got from a lady while I was at the local Farmers market last year.
100% made from Niobium.
Blue Annodized 0.8mm Wire, 4.8mm Inner Diameter Rings for the helm chain are machine cut, and are from before I started sawing my own rings.
Some of the Green 0.8mm WD, 3.2mm ID for the helm chain were machine cut as well, and mixed in with a bunch of saw cut rings that I did, and anodized as well. This ring size also makes up the large un-anodized rings for the pendant.
All the 0.6mm WD, 2.0mm ID rings are hand sawed using a 8/0 jewelers saw blade and anodized by myself. These rings are Tiny, and more then once did they try to blow away from just my breathing lol.

Helm chain is just a parallel chain, Its one of the easiest weaves to make. The Pendant is Japanese 12-2 and requires a little bit of math to pull off, it is rarely done in the size's I used for this pendant. So rare that I've only ever seen 1 other mailer do it lol.
As for patience? well yeah I have a lot of that lol.
The two things I heard over and over while working the farmers market last year were;
1) I must have a lot of patience (which is true.)
2) I must be really skilled with my fingers, followed by a slight giggle from the ladys who made the comment.

My jewelry teacher encourages chain making, but doesn't teach us personally, since she's just like me in the matter of using sheet metal and 0-14 gauge forging wire instead. I don't know if it's a matter of patience, or if it's just the tediousness of the whole process. I can spend a whole day getting almost nowhere with a chunk of marble, but I'll get distracted and go watch south park or play Call of Duty after 30 minutes of connecting jump rings to each other.
The things people make with chain techniques on this website are pretty amazing, though, I envy the persistence of some people.

I actually weave while watching TV or a movie. More for the background noise then anything. My cat enjoys watching me work too, he'll sit on the arm of my recliner and just watch me work. I'm surprised he hasn't ever tried playing with the pile of rings in my lap when I do this lol. When I was sawing rings by hand, it would take me ~2 hours to saw through a 12 inch coil so I HAD to watch something while doing that. I have since upgraded into a more powerful motorized set up which is about as effective as a hot night though butter lol. 5 minutes per coil now on average ^^
I find making chainmaille to be relaxing, and I use to have Tendinitis in my wrists from over practice when learning ASL in high school. Chainmaille exercise certain muscles in your wrists to prevent repetitive movement injures. And I haven't had a pain flare up related to tendinitis in years now. So i guess you could say it has medical related benefits too

My cat probably wouldn't sit and watch. He tends to take my pencils, ceramic tools, hair ties, twisty ties, airsoft pellets, skittles.... I think you get the point, he's a scavenger. He'll grab anything he is strong enough to pick up. When he was a kitten, he would grab whole rolls of paper towels and shred them on the indoor patio.
Nope, the large blue rings for the helm were ordered from TRL, along with a very small part of the smaller green rings. everything else was hand sawed by me using a 8/0 saw blade and jewelers saw, and anodized here.
I've heard nothing but good about spiders rings though, just to expensive for me.
