The wordplay at the end is a bit clumsy, I admit.
Ben: It wasn't that bad.
Jude: Believe me, was.
Jude is correcting Ben's "wasn't" into a "was."
I suppose that it would be best if I had just put "Oh, believe me, I was that bad."
Oh yeah, the first panel has one of the first instances of the pupilless eye Jude that I'd eventually make standard. (It's just easier to draw...)
