This is an edible type, and is what Cinderella’s carriage was modeled after. My two plants here are showing an interesting gene variant where they are spotted or streaked with yellow.
Long vines type, up to 12 feet long, usually producing two orangish red up to 20lbs pumpkins. It takes 120 days from germination to harvest normally with this type.
Suppossed to be an excellent soup pumpkin. You can roast the whole thing in the oven with the ingredients of the soups placed in after you cut the top and scoop out seeds.
Really looking forward to this beauty!

I have never tried this! It’ll definitely be on my list of things to make! How do you deal with the husks? I know there are a few varieties (baby bear and Kaki) that have extremely think husks meant for seed harvests.
Most people in my area don’t even know you can eat the orange type of pumpkin.... I want to have a pumpkin festival!! With all sorts of pumpkin cuisines (^∇^)
Thank you for the tip!
*big fluffy hugs!*
