... I mean no offense, but I legitimately can't recall the distinction between trans-male and trans-female, in terms of which one is physically male that identifies as female and vice-versa.

It might be my Asperger's, but it just never seems to quite... click... into my memory.

Trans girl is a guy transitioning to a girl

Hey, another Aspie! No worries, mate, I forget all the time. It's easiest for me to interpret it as simply male and female for the specifics because I'll mix them up if I don't memorize it that way. Whatever comes after 'trans' is the 'end result', which is what I defer to. For example, a transfemale/transgirl is a male transitioning into a female, thus it's easier for me to remember that they'll be female when they deem themselves to have finished transitioning, while transmale is vice versa.

Transmale = becoming male
Transfemale = becoming female
