I think the old strider games had a similar death thing with exploding into tiny sparklies. But then again those games were made by capcom too.

ROFL. The concept of this pic is just epic win. I'm wondering though... In Needle Man's stage in MM3, yes, there's plenty of one-hit-kill spikes, but oddly enough, other "spikes" only hurt you.

- The "telescopic" spikes that stretched/contracted from the ceiling.
- Needle Man himself... Good lord, he SHOT spikes at you. I guess there would've been a lot of hatemail to Capcom if all of his spike weapons would kill you in one shot.

I think those were like the only two times where "deadly spike" continuity was ever broken in Mega Man games. XD

No, there was another and a much larger "break," the shadow armor for mmx6. It granted complete immunity from spike damage and was more OP the the ultimate armors!

Well there was also the Gaia Armor as well on X5 that did that too, you know. :-P

Normally I'd say something about how wearing shoes is a good idea, but then again, Megaman has metal boots, and the spikes still do that to him. Nice work on the expressions.
