Story-wise, this is basically how the end of Alter's story will be (the current version anyway), he'll end up this huge ass (pun intended) blob and the story will end. Will he ever get back to normal? Will he get even fatter? WILL HE DIE? idk yet. But he doesn't mind really, he's content. Sombra tries to get taller but all that extra mass doesn't go away too easily, so he'd have to get super tall to be able to move, so he might just not bother.
