It's been a bit of time between both posts and Spiral Knights content of FA, Here are some refs of Emmqill's roommates in a Double-entendre of the term. A ref of Emmqill herself will not appear with them however, as the one about her has been... out of date (TL;DR: The three of them were supposed to be offworld on another planet, this idea was completely scraped in 2019 for the more sensible of just living on Cradle Post-Spiral Knights and Post-My Personal Headcannons About The End Of Spiral Knights) as well as certain parts of the backstory I want to remain mysteries.

Jace. The product of a dysfunctional mixed-species family colliding with the kind of emotional waves of having your "younger sister" being the favorite child. Despite Origins, Jace seemed to be destined to live the Isoran optimal way of life by having a crush on the veteran family's daughter next door and trying to acquire knighthood to serve his community. But one thing led to another and now he's a NEET living under the wing of that Girl that turned out not to be one, as he tries to gain a sense of purpose in his life that he can carve out by himself.

Jace's clothing was designed back when there was snow on the ground in my homestate Maine, that's why it's a winter set.

Born under the Novakeyli pack, famous for taking apart the remains of the Skylark under Tinkinzar I and then building a copy when his son took over, Gesta's childhood was under the command of four different parents with for different strategies on how to raise her. Honna, Gesta's biological mother, infuriated the developing gremlin the most as her instance to be a helpful guide to puberty was in her mind; "really not needed" and "[pushed her] to try to be more fuckable". After hearing word that her father wanted himself and Honna to be more.. "united" (too long to describe here), she left her home to just become a squatter in the nearest city. A week later she met Emmqill, and the rest can be figured out.

If you're wondering why I have drawn Gremlin faces differently each time I draw them, it's b/c I'm just that bad at it. Whenever a chunk of time passes I basically have to relearn the head every time by staring at previous attempts and looking at the model in Spiralview/Spiralspy.
