Just a crop of what is taking up the majority of my time right now!
This is an illustration of a anthro short faced bear and american cave lion. The bear isn't too happy the lion is in his gorge, but wont mind adding his corpse to his collection of casulties X3
This is for the Rare 2011 calendar, featuring extinct animals as anthros. Pre-orders are still open. The pieces look amazing so far! Take a look and order here :)

*to look at the artists and pieces, look at the tabs on the website. From there its pretty self explanatory. Remember the majority of these pieces are still in work in progress stage.

For the sake of satisfying my need to make a detailed, large illustration, ill color the full version and you can crop it for the calendar like you did to Alectors. :)
I spent too much time trying to get the poses and composition right not to color the entire piece :P

Oh, great s***. This is fulled with epic awesomeness up to level 10. The linework with the characters are very crisp and clean with a delicate but strong touch. As much as certain parts are cut off by the 2.50 aspect ratio of the frame, I love the epic details to it. The bear is very epic looking looking a bit larger than his lion counterpart, his big muscles, and the angry threatening expression on his ursine-realistic face. You could sense the urgency and furious rage of ridding his territory of this unwelcome big-cat intruder flashing his eyes and snarling snout with his weapon raised over head I love how realistic the bear's face adn head is, with a nice touch on having his lower lip of his wide-open mouth to extend from his lower fangs. Real bears have with their bilogical make-up. The lion looks good as he stares at the bear and is anticapating to defend himself. The weapons and costumes are excellent for the stone-age type period they are in.
