Next episode, where Arqeez puts on a ridiculous outfit again and Zekra gets a surprise ride.
This episode took way too long because work killed my creativity and it's kind of a trainwreck because I decided it to be more than a simple rescue mission in the middle and added an additional layer of the intrigue while writing the last two pages. Hopefully the next will be more interesting and better planned.
Also, shoutout to Talk to Transformer, which provied the story prompt for this one.

It's been five months, I can barely believe it! Can't say it was difficult of a wait, because A to Z continued to be around. Still, it's nice to feel at home again.
Right off the bat, I was both delighted and flattered to see that you used my wrist computer design. Maybe it was juuuust a tad too intentional, or maybe it's just me, because I knew where to look.
Even though you seem to be not content with this episode, I personally find it to be not the worst one, albeit not the best, either. Yes, it is lacking a complex chain of events leading to unexpected conclusions as seen in some other episodes, but everything else that makes A to Z good is in is righful place. A new planet with unique conditions? Check. Unusual native species with their specific relationships? Check. A and Z getting into trouble once again? You get it. More so, it was quite easy to read, and I felt engaged by the story to the very end.
The Keiilik and Fjeb situation gives one of the possible answers to the question "what if a planet has evolved more than one intelligent species?". One of the best ones, actually, since between the destruction of one or both species or a total separation of niches they chose symbiosis. The furry ones look particularly interesting to me, because, well, they are big and fluffy. ...Now that I am looking at them closely, both species have 6 limbs, and bilateral symmetry, which may mean they share a more or less recent common ancestor.
It's interesting that you are mentioning the ever-present engine, but the aircraft on your illustration still has wings, as if flies by more conventional means. Maybe it is using it only to takeoff and land?
The ending felt a bit abrupt, but I'm not sure how it could be done better. We don't get to know who killed Akati's partner, and this murder part gets away from the reader's horizon as quickly as it appeared. At this point, I'm not even sure if it's necessary to know it, and there is not much indication for the reader to deduce the answer on their own (or I am denser than lead).
The illustrations have gotten even better since the last part, with diverse environments, lighting conditions and poses, they are true art on their own.
Despite Zekra making the moral decision about the trance, one question does still stay open: will ge abandon all research on the topic and try to forget it ever happened, or will ge just refrain from trying to induce the state, while continuing all other related investigations? I hope we will find it out sometime in the future episodes!

Yeeeh, it has been way too long. But at least, silly art is easier to produce than a decently-written story, so it wasn't complete silence.
It is your wrist computer design, as I have mentioned durign a stream to do. The only thing I have changed were the pixels being hexagonal.
Well, at least I have tried to add one. At first, it was nothing but a rescue mission. But now I'm curious, though, what is the worst episode for you?
It was more a case of two species evolving together into sapience, as one cannot properly function without the other. Keiliik are pretty smart, but lack dextrous appendages, while Fjeb have four hands capable of precise manipulation, but aren't particularly bright. And yes, they are related in the same way tetrapods are related; aside from the six limbs, they also have six fingers/toes (though Fjeb have reduced two per limb into pads), four eyes and similar jaws.
The antigravity can also generate a forwards momentum depending on how the focus is positioned, where wings would allow for a higher speed by generating lift and investing more of the antigravity field into pushing rather than lifting.
Wellll, that was done on purpose, since forensics isn't what the two were offere to do; it was about finding the lost and that's what they did. But the intention was that it was indeed Pireihati who had killed Shia, but thanks to some unclarity and a 'he said, she said' situation, the situation arose where the wrong one could be blamed for the murder.
Yep, the quality improves, but so does the time spent on them extend. This episode also had some highly different lighting conditions to use, so there's that.
Ge will continue with research, and engage in different techniques to train it, specifically to get it under control. But as things happen, there will be situations where ge will be forced to use it again, finding out what it truly is in the end.

I was implying that there was the worst episode while having a vague memory of one episode being kinda "eh" compared to the rest. But after reviewing them all I feel that I cannot decide which one I like the least, they are all quite unique and there is not much to be complaining about. As for the favourite ones, it's a bit easier to decide, and I believe episodes 4, 6, 8 with a honorable mention of ep.5 come forward a bit for me.
