These radially symmetric sophonts are native to the icy moon Enceladus who, due to possessing ethane in their cells, are capable of traversing out from the dark oceans and onto the frigid surface above with little to no problem... aside from colonies of "Ice Wyrms" during such journeys.
When they've made contact with humans, they were fast learners after being shown fire, to which many of them applied as chefs in under an Earth decade who frequently went on salvaging missions to bring back native food to experiment with and share with other groups of their species who've yet to meet humans.
