Yup. Making my own rewrite of the Avali lore. I really don't agree with all of it and here I'll lay down what I think should change and how it should change.

Avalon
Avalon should be a forested / lush world. Simply put, avali just don't fit in a cold environment at all. Too small and thin, no thick fur or feathers and ammonia based blood is problematic. It can still orbit a gas giant which would mean there'd be a period of day in day out night and cold temperatures when Avalon goes behind the gas giant. The forests of Avalon would be lush, humid and have absolutely massive trees, large enough for homes inside the trunks. Low gravity could be the culprit of the tree's size and Avalon would have less gravity than Earth, maybe 10% less.

The Avali Themselves
Avali would be iridium based as it's simple and has a major advantage to iron based hemoglobin; much more efficient oxygen usage. This would allow avali to easily survive on planets with a thin atmosphere and run and do other activities for long periods of time. Their blood would be pink and turn black after being outside of the body for a while. They still would be very advanced and interstellar with all the funky tech they got. Not changing their look. They are weaker physically then the average human due to living in lower gravity. Average height is unchanged.

Natavali
These guys would be the desert people. Strong, great warriors and trackers. Easily identified by the front tooth. Very reclusive and only really trust their own packs but with some convincing, money or resources, they could be mercenaries. They can get along with the other avali people but they tend to stick with their own. Some say they were the first modern avali.

Davali
These people are found in cooler regions and are usually very calm, peaceful and friendly. They are the musical, artistic ones and welcome any and all to their homes with open wings. But that doesn't mean they aren't afraid of fighting as they can be just as deadly as the strongest natavali. They will typically be on spacecraft as they can keep people calm and happy.

Forested Avali or the standard Avali
Your average people that stick to the forested cities of Avalon. They are very good hunters and often have celebrations of the hunt, sometimes annually. Personalities are all over the place and pack oriented. All avali can be a packless and all avali can join a pack if they get along with all members. They tend to have the most advanced technology and are the ones who explore space the most often.

Hybrids
This can happen. If it does happen, the child or children could look like the for example natavali or forested avali or both. Won't really know till the eggs hatch. Most of the time, no one really cares if your child is a hybrid but some might not like the purity being ruined.

Gay couples
No one cares. Love is love!

Avali Illuminate
The main superpower of the avali, it spans multiple star systems and includes other races in small numbers including humans. Earth is part of the Illuminate and also the Zenithian Organized Republic, aka protogens and primagens. These two work together sometimes but the avali tend to be independent.

Humans
The humans and avali do get along but it took a while. The zenithians gave the avali earth's location and a formal meeting with a select few of each race was organized. The avali was chosen by the oracle, the super computer and artificial intelligence in the Avalonian capital. Self insert here as the avali chosen was Zephyr Ciminai, due to his intelligence and gentle, albeit shy, nature. The humans really liked him and they met on the ISS over earth. Both races were shocked to see how the other looked. With avali and zenithian tech, humans have started to explore the galaxy and even visit Avalon.

Basic anatomy
Avali are covered in feathers, length and thickness depending on the breed and genetics. Colors are usually region based as natavali are usually dusty colors. Tongues are forked and used to smell like a snake. Some can somewhat glide with their wings. Average weight is around 70 pounds and tend to be 3.2 to 3.9 feet tall on average.

As for anything else, pretty much the same as the original lore. 3d printer tech, orange and white color scheme, etc. I really hope you like this new take on the fluffy space raptors and i hope that this or something similar becomes the new lore.
