This was the culmination of a dumb dream I had. No doubt from a mix of playing Star Fox 2 and reading articles about the sword & planet genre. From what I remember, it went something like this:
I was following my Pigsona, Nic Cooper, at his 9-5 office job. It sucks, he hates and, and he's stuck working late for one reason or another. I couldn't tell you, but it wasn't five in the afternoon, it was 11 at night, and finally, he was able to escape his work office and made his way across the street, where he kept his motorcycle parked in a garage. He hopped on and took off, heading for out of the city and began driving through the desert, going to a motorcycle club that he frequently visits.
In his normal life, he's meek and passive. It's all to keep his job. But when his shift ends, he can be the biker he always wanted to be. But as he drove, he noticed something in the sky: the moon. It was starting to turn red, and the crimson glow overcame him. In a blinding flash of scarlet, Nic is transported from Earth to Saturn.
(And, yes, I'm aware that in the real world, Saturn is just a giant ball of cosmic gas, so there couldn't be any kind of life atop it, lol. But this is a dream and a fantasy.)
When Nic opened his eyes again, he was taken prisoner by a pirate crew of Ratfolk. Saturn apparently is a massive planet of swamps, rivers, and open ocean, where traveling by boat is the only way to get around, and clean drinking water is hard to find, requiring ships to actively hunt down falling blocks of ice from Saturn's massive ring. Water is worth more than gold!
And down in the brig is where Nic had met with the golden-furred Fox named Prince Augustus Zox, the rightful ruler of Venus, but was dethroned by the Ratfolk and were being tossed around as a slave.
I don't fully remember what happened next, but I distinctly remember Nic and Augustus getting into a swordfight with the Ratfolk with lightsa-Photon Cutlasses. That's right, Photon Cutlasses. :P
I woke up sometime before the fight concluded, was inspired, and had started to draw this dumb pic, like the cover of a sword & planet story...or a Star Wars poster, lol.
Oh, and Augustus's blue clothing is a small reference to Krystal from Star Fox, whom I think my brain bit for ideas for Nic's "love interest", lol.
