This is the twelfth chapter of my novel, Trepidation. Yes, another chapter of flashbacks, but now you get to see what happened to our hero years ago. Without the aid of his wonder drug, the clouds in his mind are cleared, and that voice in his head keeps reminding him over and over again. This may answer more questions, though truthfully I did enjoy writing about some pin pointed sections of Pavel's life. He's a very interesting character, in my humble opinion that is.

Well, I couldn't agree more. Pavel is the most awesome Tiger I've ever seen that's for sure.
This chapter makes the one where he talks to Al about what happened carry so much more weight. It was set up pretty well that way, so we hear about it from him and how he feels before we're allowed to see the whole thing from the main characters memory. It builds anticipation for it, and the way it was written really shows the contrast between his mental state before it happened, after, and since he started taking the drug, which does a great job of drawing us in. I also have kind of a thing for crazy characters, cuz I love seeing how differently they are written from 'sane' people, so this turned out to be a real treat for me!
Especially the ending.Don't you just love when you're sane enough to know you're insane? Ahhh, hilarity~
I hope the Otter isn't dead yet! (wow, what a crappy way to end a crappy feedback comment ^^' )
