for nearly 2 years i've been on this Pokemon Sword Journey and man have i been busy so i decided to make this now since soon we'll be going back to Sinnoh so consider this my final Sword update [at least until either more things for Sword drop or something else happens in the game that we don't know about] here we go

Sword Team:

this is the team i went with for the game some Pokemon were harder to find than others but i was able to go through it with a good mindset along with a small bit of help so here we go

1. Shampoo [Inteleon]

Characteristic: Somewhat Stubborn

Story:
when Pokemon Sword and Shield were first announced i had a difficult time trying to decide what starter i should go with i was deciding between Scorbunny or Sobble Grookey didn't interest me that much and i was certain Scorbunny was going to be another Fire/Fighting Starter so i decided to go with Sobble and after a couple resets i got a female and named her Shampoo after my favorite blue haired girl from Ranma 1/2 and she's been a great member i was able to get her to Gigantamax and she's really epic good job

2. Julie [Dubwool]

Story:
yeah obvious choice is obvious ever since Wooloo was announced i immediatly thought of my friend  pacman64dx's OC Julie and decided to use it as a team member and it's pretty good Julie's strong, pretty good on her feet and she's got some good wool pretty awesome

3. Rover Spark [Boltund]

Met in Galar Route 2 at Level 5 on November 15th, 2019

Characteristic: Takes plenty of siestas

Story: Yamper was a cute thing when i saw it i decided to go forth and use that as my electric type since i didn't want to use a Pikachu clone so i was able to catch this and boy did it pay off! it's strong, epic and awesome! i joked that Rover Spark is a loose name take of Rover Dangerfield but it was mostly original since i didn't want to name it something common like Sparky or just plain Rover so i combined them, took out the Y and Rover Spark was born i love it so much :D

4. Duncan [Coalossal]

Ability: Steam Engine

Met in Galar Route 3 at Level 11 on November 16th, 2019

Characteristic: Alert to sounds

Story:
the very little info we got on the games over the months was wearing thin on me yeah we got some good info but there really wasn't much and some of it like no national dex pissed off a lot of people in my plans i had 5 team members planned out and i had no fire type and i wasn't sure if there was going to be one announced so i decided to say fuck it an use Rolycoly as my last Pokemon and hope it evolves into a fire type and sure enough... it did and it looks pretty cool it's epic in battle and i love it's Gigantamax form even though i caught it as a normal Rolycoly and didn't give it the G-Max icon until Isle of Armor i still think this is a great addition i also named him Duncan after my favorite Narrow Gauge engine on Thomas the Tank Engine and it's still an epic pick

5. Crystelle [Tsareena]

Given to me as an Egg through Link Trade on November 16th, 2019, Hatched in Galar Mine on November 16th, 2019

Story:
ever since Gen 7 i wanted to use a Tsareena but never got a good chance to get one so when i noticed some Steenees in the trailers i knew this would be my chance however... there was a problem wild Bounsweet can only be found at certain locations in the Wild Area but only if the weather conditions are clear and the weather conditions that particular day in the Rolling Fields are snow i tried my best but i couldn't find a Bounsweet so i decided to go on Serebii's Discord server and ask for a Bounsweet egg someone answered and i gave them any Pokemon and finally got my Bounsweet that i named after one of my favorite Dr. Crafty girls Crystelle and she's been good to me the entire journey and i love her for that :D too bad it can't learn Psychic moves but hey High Jump Kick is better than any old Psychic move any day

6. Excalibur [Sirfetch'd]

Characteristic: Very Finicky

Story:
the instant Galar Forms were introduced along with new evolutions to some of the Galar forms i knew i wanted one either a Fire Type version of one Pokemon or at least one i wanted to get and while no Galarian fire types were made not counting Zen Mode Darmanitan i went with one that genuinely came as a surprise a Galarian Farfetch'd with a new epic evolution! and this thing is as strong and as powerful as advertised and i love it to death!

Isle of Armor Team:

this was a first since the games were going to be having DLC i decided to go onward with a second team as well as a third team for the later coming Crown Tundra and this team was pretty cool to make i can tell you that

7. Baloo [Urshifu]

Urshifu looks pretty cool and Kubfu is pretty cute makes me think of Numbuh 4 on Kids Next Door so when i got to the Isle of Armor i went ahead and got myself the awesome Kubfu and named him after the bear from The Jungle Book and man did it look amazing the one i used was the Dark Type Urshifu that way i don't overlap in water types and i needed a Dark Type anyway so win/win

8. Benjamin [Galarian Slowbro]

Ability: Own Tempo

Characteristic: Hates to lose

Story:

yeah this was a surprise to me when i first heard about the new DLC stuff coming just days before my birthday i was amazed and we got a short peek of it too with the Galarian Slowpoke that becomes Slowbro and Slowking in two different ways i personally went with Slowbro since i wanted to use it for the Isle of Armor and it's a pretty good team member if i should say so myself gotta love Shell Side Arm

9. Tetsujin 28 [Melmetal]

Characteristic: Very Finicky

Story:
the story of Meltan and Melmetal during the end of Gen 7 and the beginning of Gen 8 was amazing so i wanted this thing the problem was... i didn't have Pokemon GO during this time my phone was dead since 2017 and i didn't have access to one until last month so i was shit out of luck for a Meltan or Melmetal so i decided to ask my friend Paxton to send me a spare Melmetal through Pokemon Let's Go and i can send it to Pokemon Sword through Pokemon Home and i love it only problem i can't give it the Max Soup and there's currently no second way to give it the Gigantamax form hopefully there will be but we'll have to see but for now it's just stuck as a normal Melmetal but it's still cool

10. Thomas [Shiny Lycanroc Dusk Form]

Story: okay i really love Dusk Form Lycanroc ever since Ash got one in the Anime it's unique and epic amd so is the shiny with a nice shade of blue so in my Ultra Sun i got to work in breeding a shiny Own Tempo Rockruff as this was the only way you can get it in USUM and i was lucky to have the event one to breed with finally i got it and was able to transfer it into my game so it can have an amazing adventure with me and i loved it i named him Thomas not only after the famous Tank Engine but also after my late dog Thomas... i'll miss you buddy

11. Queen Zandra [Palossand]

Characteristic: Mischievous

Story: i still needed a ground type and a ghost type so i decided to go for broke and go for the Sand Castle of Gen 7 Palossand however there were a lot of overleveled Sandygasts on the field which is to be expected since i did beat the game last year at that time so i decided to breed a Sandygast and i got the first one not shiny but it's something this is mostly original calling it a queen and Zandra which is Sandra but with a Z instead of an S and i think it's a good pick

12. Percy [Venusaur]

Characteristic: Likes to thrash about

Story: this one i decided to use immediatly since i still had Shampoo as my Water Type plus G-Max Venusaur does honestly look cool i like Venusaur sometimes it's pretty cool and a lot of fun to use yeah it's another grass type and another poison type for me but you just gotta look past them for this

Crown Tundra Team:

i had some limited options for Crown Tundra but i was still able to use them in the end and i love what i picked so here we go on my final team members [for now]

13. Celestia [Shiny Galarian Rapidash]

Met in a Pokemon Den at Level 18 on March 23rd, 2020

Story:
this one was kind of an accident i caught this during that rain event with the fossils and came across this one from another player's den! and i caught it with a Love Ball and boy did i catch a great one! i named her after Princess Celestia from MLPFIM and i love how cool this Pokemon looks i needed a Fairy type anyway so this is perfect

14. Zaps [Dracozolt]

Met in Alola Route 6 at Level 10 on January 10th, 2020

Characteristic: Capable of taking hits

Story:
the fossils this Generation were... interesting to say the least but for this case i decided to go with one that i think is my favorite out of all four Dracozolt using a Fossilized Bird and Fossilized Drake and it's a pretty good team member love the Dragon moves and i love the electric moves i gave it definately a great team member to have :D

15. Luna [Shiny Frosmoth]

Characteristic: Mischievous

Story:
the only types i've yet to use were Bug and Ice so i decided to go ahead and breed for a shiny Snom and use a Frosmoth it took a lot of time but i finally got what i wanted just in time before Crown Tundra's release and it's pretty good to use in my opinion

16. Thor [Shiny Nidoking]

Ability: Sheer Force

Nature: Timid

Came to me from Johto

Characteristic: Somewhat vain

Story:
one of the Pokemon teased in the DLC trailer was in fact one of the Nidos so i decided to hatch a Gameboy Born Nidoran in my 3DS so i was hatching for either one either a male or a female hopefully a male cause it looks better so after a while of hatching in old school equipment i finally hatched a shiny Nidoran Male and it looks spot on epic i love it! it's strong too :D

17. Schemer [Salamence]

Nature: Impish

Characteristic: Somewhat Vain

Story:
the last type i needed was a Flying type so i went ahead and got a Bagon in a Heavy Ball in my 3DS, sent it over to Sword and did a quick breed and got this beauty i named him after my favorite Shining Time Station character and he looks amazing i love how epic Salamence looks it's one of my favorite Gen 3 Pokemon even though you don't have access to it until after all 8 badges are collected in the original games oh well

18. Rambo [Blaziken]

Hatched in Bridge Field on October 23rd, 2020

Characteristic: Alert to sounds

Story:
seeing the Hoenn Starters in this DLC was a surprise so in the Max Raids i went and found a Blaziken, caught it in a Fast Ball and bred a Torchic with the ability Speed Boost and i love how this looks this was a lot of work to get and it was totally worth it and named him after the famous Sylvester Stallone character Rambo very fitting :D

and that's all for the game a lot of work done and a lot of good team members caught but i'm happy with what i have
