“Oh no,… not this again,…”

So May 16th was my birthday, and my friends online, who are very thoughtful and generous, got me some presents. :). The first has already been posted prior to this, the next two come from  jurgenblue.

The second is posted above, a cute picture of a character I’ve gotten a lot of artwork of in the past, and in the same situation as she found herself in those past artworks. ;).

This really is a cute and charming picture of the lovely Black Cat, she really looks good in Jurgen’s style, as does the bubbling, rippling quicksand she finds herself in. Her outfit looks great, I always loved this version with the white gloves and the fur fringe, especially in how it draws the eye to her chest. Such a great depth she is sunk to, the quicksand hugging around her hips, as it ripples around her from her motion, really giving the impression of her slowly sinking deeper in. I really love her expression, that worried glance downward as she realizes what she’s in, with her pursed lips giving the impression that maybe she as annoyed as she is worried. Overall a very nice picture paying homage to some of my older commission sets.
