Finnigan, who was a former mortal and died of an accident, went to Heaven and signed up to work under God and became an angel.
He started out as a guardian angel, helping mortals in need of assistance. Due to his good record with redeeming mortals from their struggles, Finnigan was promoted to archangel status.
However, being the naïve and positive fox that he is, Finnigan has yet to learn about the harsh reality that archangels live through in being a defender of God.
