Alex is a size-changing sea otter, a laboratory experiment to assist with aquatic rescue missions and the occasional monster fight. So naturally, when the word gets out that a giant squid is smashing boats and eating innocent people, they send Alex out to subdue the beast. She's not the most accomplished fighter yet, she still has a lot of training to do, but she makes up for it in sheer determination. Alex likes humans, and won't let any mean old monster cause harm to them.
