I got out of work early today, so I decided to do a bit of sword training to try and get back into practice (i'm so out of practice it's embarrassing), and while IWas at it I decided to do a bit of cam-whoring too,.. so you guys can see what I look like when i'm not wasted :P

I spent many years studying Iaido and Kendo, and i've trained in many other armed fighting styles from both east and west. but then I fucked up my leg and had to stop for a couple of years, now all the dojos have moved on.
I used to be a pretty good swordsman, I even competed in an Iaido tournament once, but these days i'm not a quick with a blade as I used to be,.. but there's more to being a swordsman than just skill with a blade, and I like to think I haven't let the mental side of my training slip over the years :)

awesome! Merf, soz bout your leg, that sucks D: My dad's side of the family are really into martial arts, I only see them like once a month, but they dragged me into it and I got hooked. I study Shotokan and my family study Tenshikan, theres only slight differences in moves durings Kata's and what not. Its great, my dad's and step uncle run their own club and have both been to Japan twice to live with the head sense of tenshikan and graded by him, also my lil bro was the youngest 2nd dan black belt in Scotland at the age of 9 :P
THankies :)
But my training isn't really progressing anywhere at the moment. I've got 2 black belts at the moment but there aren't any dojos around here where I can learn. So until the weather gets better and mud dries up there's not much I can do here, and even then i'll just be practicing on my own. but I need to brush up on my form and stuff anyway, which can be done alone without too much trouble.
All that's assuming I can find time to train, of course XD
