Pokemon can actually trace things like "thick fat" in battle? I'm not familiar with the newer games so much, so if it is that's amusing.

Thick Fat is an ability that reduces fire and ice damage, Trace is an ability that copies the ability of the opponent
It doesn't actually effect how they look but you can use your imagination
