I did this when my house got back to above freezing. It was 32° inside my house for 3 days. I live in Galveston and I've never seen it snow, or even freeze with ice on the ground here before in all of my 35 years. The year I move down here, it snows!
My husband and I with out two cats and little dog all snuggled under three blankets trying to keep warm while the power was put. My little grey tabby Teeny, my little tordi Sammy, and my little Chi-pin Valentine never stay close to each other for to long, but everyone got in the bed with us, and got along, a temporary truse!
So that's all of us bundled up and under all the covars we had left after tacking sheets and blankets over the windows and stuffing some under the door in efforts to keep the cold out, and the heat in from the bazillion of candles we had lit.
From the February 14th 2021 freeze in Galveston, Texas.
