The Sentinel has always been my favorite Jedi class. The fact they specialize in skills that aren't Force related and balance their combat prowess and ability to use the force makes them powerful. They also aren't pinned down and restricted by the Temples as they go out and integrate with the people. The most common type of Jedi that survived Order 66 were the Sentinels due to their ability to hide and they befriended the people so they were never in danger of being ratted out.

To the point that the sentinels were among some of the most reliable of the jedi. and so trusted with their security and secrecy that they were given the honor of temple guards. out on the field some Essential missions would last for years and given to sentinals. working with the people they were among the closest to the average person.

I do so love the versality, openness and acceptance of the sentinel class.

Mmhm. They were a more proactive Jedi who went out on their own to hunt down traces of the Dark Side instead of being a reactive type like the Guardian and Consular. They also tended to wear clothes that helped them blend into a crowd rather than wear Jedi robes.

They were always far more proactive Jedi. Infact, I believe some of the first Grey Jedi started out as Sentinels.
