The P-51 was the US's equivillant to the spitfire, its the favourite at airshows, the Rolls-Royce engine matched it well. The design was actually ment forthe RAF but after the RAF went through test's with it it was found that the engine was inadequate and the canopy was poor so the RAF redesigned it, meaning US design, UK power! Still, it did kick nazis ass!
