Coastalcore Aesthetic
This one is a personal aesthetic invented on the spot by myself ^^' so here's how I define it
Defined: Coastalcore (related to Dark Nautical and Surf Crush) is an aesthetic inspired by a romanticized interpretation of modern Coastal Living, modern and simple fashions, never overly colorful.
Key motifs:
Beaches, surfboards, boardwalks, seashells, Beach Waves Hair
My favorite bit about this is the color palette, its heavy on Deep Teal, Foam White, Browns and washed out oranges
more to come!

I love the term.
It's always amusing to me how many people who actually live in coastal towns buy into the colorful, whimsical, and (as you said) romanticized aesthetic... and then complain the moment they step onto a beach and the sand fleas get them or a bit of seaweed brushes their ankle why they're swimming.
There's a lot of complexity at work here.
As someone who lives in a coastal city, I can appreciate this aesthetic a lot more than the overly-bright, cheery, and punched-up displays that populate the area purely for the sake of the tourists.
